Hey, nice compact yet thoughtful puzzle. I came in late after the multiple solutions. Frankly, as so many singularities are seen in the puzzle world, there is nothing wrong in my eyes with a puzzles with two stated answers and the designer says, “go find both.” Can add to the puzzle in the right circumstances. Thx.
Three years later! I'm relatively new to your puzzle blog, so I started from the beginning. Working up now to this early 2011 posting, I too have found a duplicate solution involving the lower of the two 4s (as did Jonah on 2011.01.21). Is it the original pre-fixed version of the puzzle that's showing up again?
Multiple solutions? As far as I can tell, there are two ways to complete the lower of the two 4s.
